Haphost.com is a one of the free VPS provider. In past they were known as Host1free. They had faced lot if issues related to abuse of free service. Host 1free image was maligned as a abuse oriented free VPS provider. To overcome the shadow of howling past they came up with another name haphost with clear vision of not allowing abusers. I had a perception that they had a list of IP addresses and Emails which had tend to abuse their free service in past.  So they came up idea if IP reputation. Above 90% people use dynamic IP addresses at home.  These IP addresses fail to clear there test as they are banned for abusing; spamming etc. I would say there this idea pretty much worked to keep spammers at bay.

I was the user of Host1free and there was never a problem with host. I continued to use their service for 4 months. As my requirements are pretty high for my application had to buy a dedicated server.  So I moved on and cancelled my VPS.

I had registered on Haphost four months ago and they cleared it next day. VPS provided is with 128 ram/swap with 1 CPU. Network is capped at 10 mbps.  They are delivering what is promised. Speed test ran on VPS was pretty much satisfactory. Memory is pretty good with a score of 3987. I would say never expect too much from free stuff but they are providing promising free VPS service. CPU is Intel Core i7-2600 @ 848 MHz which is pretty fast and on overall on geekbench test it gave a score of 1482. Ioping is pretty good on VPS, main node is not overloaded. May be it is due to less abusers or no abusers. Currently there Applications for Free VPS is closed and they culling out dead and abusers accounts.

Free VPS in EU countries like of Germany is not east to get.  Latency rate from Germany to India was less than 180. I am hosting an video chat application on this VPS and these types of applications are bandwidth consuming. Monthly consumption measured out to be just 20 to 30 Gb.

In recent time I had faced a peculiar problem  with the Vps, It was locking down my application library files and application was failing to run. Here comes the support team, Joseph one the admin over haphost support helped me out to fix the issue. Problem was due to “fedup” command and problem was solved as had to re-install the vps.
